Classification(Call Number)

Reference Materials(2F)

Reference Materials are located on the 2nd floor of the library.

Reference Materials include inctionaries, encyclopedias, maps, etc.

Reference Materials must be used in the Library. They can't be checked out.


DVD Collections are located on the 2nd Floor.

Library has 3,400 DVDs and it can be searched via Library Homepage.

To borrow or return DVDs, use the Self-circulator on the 2nd.


Books are located on the 3rd Floor.

To borrow or return books, use the Self-circulator on the 3rd & 5th.

Dissertations & Theses(3F)

POSTECH Dissertations & Theses are located on the 3rd Floor.

They are shelved in a separate section on the north side.

Dissertations can't be checked out, but PDF Full-text is available at library catalog.

3,000 Title of Journals are kept on the 4th Floor.

Journals can't be checked out, use the copy machine.

10,000 titles of e-journals are available via library website.

Multimedia in Closed Stack(4F)

Multimedia in Closed Stack has VIDEO, AUDIO, CDs

You can Search and request materials you want to borrow.

A Confirmation e-mail will be sent within 24 hours of you request.

You can pick up the materials at the Circulation Desk on the 2nd Floor.

New Books(5F)

When new books arrive at the library, they are displayed for 3 weeks.

There is a room for displaying new books, magazines and newspapers on the 5th floor.

New Books can't be checked out during the first one week, after that can be borrowed for 7 days.


Newspapers are located on the 5th floor where new books are displayed.

Newspapers are discarded every Monday morning.
