4. iThenticate Notes on Using

  1. iThenticate has an annual institutional usage limit on the total number of similarity checks.
      Excessive use may result in usage restrictions; therefore, please refrain from unnecessary checks and account sharing.
      ※ Similarity checks on papers not authored by oneself are prohibited and may result in suspension of usage.
      ※ If more than two similarity checks per academic year are needed, please contact the university representative in advance.
  2. The iThenticate similarity report does not serve as a standard for determining plagiarism but is a simple total of similar portions between papers.
    Even if the similarity index is low, you must carefully review the highlighted sentences in the main text.
  3. When submitting a thesis for graduation, graduate students must use Turnitin;
    iThenticate is recommended for submission of international academic journal papers by graduate students and faculty members.
    (Turnitin is intended for class management, including student assignments and thesis checks, while iThenticate is recommended for personal paper submissions.)
